Eric and Bre got married at Club Lake Plantation in Apopka, Florida.
It was truly a rustic meets glamorous affair. Bre got the party started with the girls as they were getting ready. I arrived to Taylor Swift blasting, laughing, and a bunch of insanely gorgeous ladies getting ready to celebrate their best friend’s wedding. Bre’s heels had the cutest “I Do” stickers on the bottom and holy cow did you see her bouquet?? I headed over to hang out and snag some photos of Eric and the guys getting ready. Y’all, they had a pool table, bar, and big screen TV. Talk about the perfect man cave! Eric’s brother Kirk helped him with the finishing touches, then Eric set off to meet Bre in the secret garden for their first touch and private vows.
OK. FIRST TOUCHES ARE THE SWEETEST THING EVER. I know both Eric and Bre were simply excited for the day ahead, but of course there was a little bit of nervousness/anxiousness. As soon as their hands touched, you could literally see all of that just melt away. They both had the most beautiful vows for one another. Standing on opposite sides of the wooden doorway in a whimsical secret garden, these two shared those vows and then it was time for the ceremony! (Side note, right after the first touch/vows, Bre’s father got to see her all dolled up and ready to marry her best friend. Love his reaction!)
The ceremony took place under HUGE and insanely beautiful trees. There were lights hanging down from the tree limbs and long wooden pews for the guests to sit in. In the middle of the ceremony, Bre’s grandmother joined them under the arbor to sing “This is Love”. Then both mom’s came up to sign their marriage license. Wes—the ring security—handed over the wedding bands and these two were officially married!
I took the new Mr. and Mrs. Simmons, along with their bridal party down to the greenery covered archway. The girl’s dresses literally lit up in the sunset! Can you say #goldengirls?? While we were capturing some awesome portraits, guests were kicking it up at the Long-Branch Saloon while an aerialist performed during cocktail hour.
The reception has me speechless.. There was dark green table cloths, branches with dangling lights, and jewels on the tables. The desert bar sat on top of a beautiful white dresser. The cake…you guys..the cake! Can we just talk about that for a minute? They had a two tier cake, with white and gold frosting. On the top tier, the gold was given a “dripping” effect, while white roses and greenery completed the look. Ok back to the party! During Eric and Bre’s first dance, the bridal party encircled them and threw confetti—just wait until you see this photo! Toasts were made, food was had, and then began the dancing.
Bre and Eric ended the night with a private dance, then ran through a sparkler exit into the getaway car.
